Erratic Engine Revs and Bad Tickover.

Hi. I know there has been a number of threads relating to this. I had this problem a while back which made the car a pain to drive in slow traffic. I did investigate and wiggled the plugs on the clutch pedal and the one under the car on the nearside front. I have no idea what system this plug...

    Lowering spring suggestions

225/45/17 tyres will not fit. the biggest you can get away with is 205/40/17. I know I tried. I run Focus ST 170 wheels with 205/40/17 tyres. I also run 30 mm HR hubcentric spacers front and rear, you will need these spacers with the ST wheels, the bearings only load up the equivalent of 16mm...

    Noise from suspension bushes

Hi. I have done all of these. Straightforward and easy provided right tools and equipment. For the rear lower arm bushes I did use standard replacements but would use poly bushes next time for ease of refitting. New bolts are a must the old ones can be cut and knocked out. saves a lot of time...

    ULEZ Compliant?

Hi. I must admit I had virtually given up on my application as I don't really need the exemption but I think I will continue on a point of principle. I am at the stage where I will print off all my correspondence with a covering letter and post it to the department for dealing with stage 2...

    Vinyl Wrap?

Another option if you are only looking to protect good paint work is a ceramic glaze coat. I looked into this and for my puma I was quoted at £600 but that was a top notch professional job with a two stage polish before application. regards.

Has anyone ever looked into converting a Puma to electric?

Watch the tv programme Vintage Voltage..... an eye opener as to how complicated it really is and eye wateringly expensive. Chances are l can imaging someone doing a conversion then running into all sorts of problems the abandoning it.

    Vinyl Wrap?

The clear wrap was developed by 3M in the Vietnam war to protect the leading edges of helicopter rotor blades. It is self healing, it can be rubbed with 120 grit parer and within a day or two it is as new. This for a Puma would be about 3.5K. My printed wrap was 2.5K a plain colour wrap would...
