Last Friday driving into Exeter, going past the Middlemoor roundabout. Had a private reg I think in some way relating to FRP? It was my birthday so a nice little treat to see one on the road, despite then throughly boring my passengers with it.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I took the exhaust cam out and measured the lobes on the inlet, which measured as standard. I’m not too disheartened, it was very cheap, even for a standard engine so gives me a nice supply of spares

I picked up and engine last night, it was very cheap with a gearbox and was meant to have kent cams in it… I’ve just been have a quick look over it and I’m fairly sure the cams are standard; the could be reground I guess I can measure them? What did stick out though is the injectors… I’m sure...

My car does something very similar when rolling and definitely idles strangely when it’s up to temp (haven’t tried coasting in neutral at any speed). I’m yet to attempt to investigate what it is… Mine dips/hunts slightly at first then rises. I’m assuming it’s probably ICV/vacuum related

MSA blue book also gives this info. If you’re getting a cage put in, wrapping the harness around the harness bar is probably the easiest thing to do, plus it saves weight (about 5 grams, but weight nonetheless)

I’ve got a base mount with rails from my old KA sat in the garage… I think they’re the same fitting? Also, regards the cage, if you’re building a targa car and need to keep the door cards in place, don’t put door bars in, or get ones that kink around them because it’s a nightmare otherwise!
