Might be worth having look at speed sensor, had similar problem with a focus, tried changing plugs and leads ETC with no difference, took connector off speed sensor and cleaned it up, was running fine afterwards.

I brought these plugs (great price) and also fitted new leads, made a big difference when fitted, the old ones must have been on car from day of manufacture, runs like a new car now...

I might be wrong, as the seller said it would fail MOT with it fitted, his information could be incorrect, i just brought back box in the end, middle section ok for the moment :?: :?: :?:

Yeah thought about getting race pipe, but read that it wouldn't pass mot with it fitted, so just brought the back box. I had a cherry bomb fitted on pug 1.9 gti some years ago, it sounded lovely, we drove around all day listening to it (sad really i know), if you ain't got the tools that's OK...

Hi there, i have just brought a sportex back box for my puma, sounds and looks great, its a direct fit, with no messing about buying universal hangers and extra piping to get it to fit. I looked at the cherry bomb myself, but it looked to much of a hassle to get it to fit, only took me 45 mins...
