Not the easier thing to photograph but a general look over it only found one small dent and a bit of corrosion on the underside of the tailpipe. No other visible damage other than scratches and the odd bit of tar stuck to it here and there. It's structurally sound :) I can't find the exhaust...

I gave the car to a mate but traced the issue down to a corroded / missing pin in the socket that joins the loom in the door to the one in the car. I got the part but didn't get chance to fit it so can't confirm this was the problem but it looks very likely. He'll fix it at some point and I'll...
