1.7, running but unviable for MoT. £100, Tamworth

Hi, it's a Y reg, 2002 I think, green, 100,300 miles. I don't know how to upload photos. I took some but I think the files are too big... It's looks ok. Not great but ok.

1.7, running but unviable for MoT. £100, Tamworth

Y reg, 100,000 miles. Running fine. MoT due 6/10/16. There is some corrosion and the clutch won't last another 12 months apparently so it's not viable for me. :( Sad to see it go but I think it is time. Had it for 5 years and will miss it. I will accept £100, or an offer because I would rather...

    Oil warning light on

Oh, Duh! It is actually the engine light that it on, not the oil light- sorry guys! It seems to be misfiring, the light has been reset and hasn't come back on although I can hear it spluttering at low speed. I have some plugs, leads and a coil pack on order - hopefully one of those...

    Oil warning light on

I am getting it looked at later. Thanks. Apparently it might be a switch. I will let you know!

    Oil warning light on

Does anyone know what the oil light means if the oil level is correct? It has come on, sometimes it flashes and sometimes it is constant. It it running a bit bumpy at low speeds too and sounds a bit spluttery. When it first came on I checked the level and it was low so I topped it up and thought...

    My knob 2

It has taken me a while to check out your knobs, the work computer blocked it so had it wait until I am home! It was worth it! And would nail varnish work to colour it?

    New bulbs don't fit.

Thanks everyone. I will go back tomorrow, and tell them their guide is wrong, and I will now have to do the bulb-changing process all over again - in the dark!

    New bulbs don't fit.

I have finally got around to fitting my new halfords ultra brilliance headlight bulbs, had to look on here to figure out how to get the headlights out - and now they don't fit. The plastic 'flange' at the base of the bulb is bigger than the old one and doesn't fit in the hole. Has anyone else...

    Headlights

I thought while I'm here I would get advice on my rubbish-headlight situation. My headlights are really poor, should I buy some 'new' ones, or can I clean mine? I saw something on here but it seems like a lot of work and too easy to make a mistake (inside the unit), so is it worth a go? - any...

    new keys?

I had my keys stolen recently from my house, but I have a spare. I am having to take my ignition fuse out every night as someone has my key and knows where the car is. I think the cheapest option so far is to get the 'spare' key reprogrammed with the car, so the old one wont work. A local Ford...

    revving

My mechanic said idle control valve, but strangely it has not done it now for 4 days. I thought that indicates a mechanical thing, perhaps disturbed by a bit of debris off the road, if it is some electronic thing I dont suppose it would suddenly go back to normal by itself?? My plan is to do...

    revving

Hi Guys, my 1.7 had started to rev like mad while I am driving, I notice it when I change gear and the revs go up not down. It has done it a couple of times, and then gone back to normal. Today though it was mental. In the past, driving had kept the revs down, but today it was making me go...
