If you see anything in the pictures you need let me know before it goes to the tip. I am in South Leeds for free collection, if I need to post it I will ask you to pay for postage. There are some other odds and ends too. 20230924_173127.jpg20230924_173222.jpg20231003-Wiring_Loom.jpg20240127_160109.jpg20240127_160405.jpg20240127_161637.jpg20240127_162235.jpg20240127_162537.jpg20240127_162722.jpg20240127_163622.jpg

Can I just say, if that is an engine management (PCM) wiring loom, with connectors to engine sensors, ABS, power steering, etc , etc., etc..., please for the love of God, don't scrap it!!!!!!!!!!

Pushed into a small box, it won't take up much storage space, surely, to keep until you can find somebody who ACTUALLY NEEDS IT?

A few years ago, I got a second hand part & fitted (high pressure power steering line) from Ian at Pumabits. I happened to mention that I'd previously fitted a second hand ABS pump myself, to replace my original failed one. I also mentioned the second hand one came with the connector plug still attached, but cut through all the cables!

Ian groaned, slapped his forehead and advised me that was part of the engine management loom they'd lopped off, which would now make the rest of it completely useless!!!
😱😤🤯

Have you ever seen car restoration programmes, like Car SOS, etc.? If they need replacement car wiring looms (even just basic car body wiring looms, let alone engine management looms), they are extremely labour intensive, from specialists , so probably cost a fortune!

Something like that will probably be like the proverbial "Rocking Horse Sh!t" to somebody now, or in the near future, putting various working parts together, to make a new(ish) working whole Puma!

Please, please, please don't scrap specialist stuff, for the good of the Puma community! A lot of the mechanical bits you've shown might be good to go, as relatively easy to replace, but not wiring looms! 😫

p.s.
Are the tailgate & drivers door in Pacific Green?
At some point I might be interested in playing Dr. Frankenstein and trying to rebuild my old "Rusty Bustard", if I can get all the right parts! 😁.

It's ALIVE!!!! 😂

Oops, just realised your post heading said "Giveaway", NOT "Throwaway"! Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a rant - I just thought "NO...ooo....ooo....oh!"

However, everything good if you're giving it away to a good home! 😚 (y)

The door/hatchback are from a pacific green car. I haven't pictured the ashtray but I will look around my garage. I might have one.

Would you be able to post the wiring loom if so I would buy it from you as I am having electrical issues due to a mouse eating my loom!!
Sure no problem. I found out on here there are 2 kinds, I inset the picture of the number of connectors under the bonnet. Send me a message with your address and I will post it.

Took a while to find it but I knew I had an ashtray somewhere.

Not sure which bit you mean?
That'd be the little triangle which covers the screw.....missing in your photo too.( My written off puma (117k) had this piece so I never realised it was an issue till recently and my replacement with only 41k on the clock is missing it. I'd have prised it out, had I known. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I believe you can still get these from Ford, worth checking. Think it is listed under Fiesta parts. Failing that, I have a used one and although one of the little lugs has broken off, it's easily held in position with a little help from a small piece of Bluetac or similar. Could post it.

Are the Doors and boot still available? Bit late to the party but I have a Pacific Green Puma and any spares I can get my hands on I will jump at! I’m guessing you don’t have any wheels going spare…

Thanks!
