hey im wondering if its is possable to bolt a escort cosworth engine into a 1.4 puma and how much moding is needed to engine bay and chasis.

It's obviously quit a lot of work. Jacko is good with questions like this and i'm sure he will be around shortly!

From memory there is only 1 puma currently with a cosworth engine in it! And it cost £££ for the conversion.
 
It's more of a reshell job than a transplant, you're looking at getting the Puma's floorpan cut away and a suitable cossie donor car floorpan welded in its place.

A sensible budget for this sort of project would be around £20K...
 
Phone Tony at Pumaspeed as he has a puma with a cossie engine. Four wheel drive too.

If you don't fancy making one yourself, he's wanting to sell it as far less than it'll cost you to do the work.
 
If you actually speak to Tony though, he'll let it go a bit cheaper than that ;)

vortex has given me a great idea does any one know how much a 2.0 durtec st conversion on one would be cheers!

but thats not the fun!! Half the fun with a ford cossie lump is showing some rice rocket a can of whoop-ass then getting a free lift home on a recovery truck saving you significantly on fuel costs!! :)
