top one is original with rusted & stripped thread
bigger stainless bolt cut to length
bolt machined to correct sizes; ford use an odd size shank to stop people using non ford bolts
bolt threaded & ready to go...

havent fitted them yet as iv broken my jack! its a lightweight aluminium one so im going to strip it, make more aluminium parts & save as much weight as possible!

Nice work mate :eek:k:

Not suprised your jack has broken though with the amount you use it!

lol!!!! v true!

iv completely stripped it now & theres a big pile of ali parts & a big pile of steel parts im going to make in ali.....!

'pimp my jack....'

id heard stainless was a b!tch to machine but those bolts came out really nice.... titanium pistons for the alcon calipers next....

Stainless is fine to machine. High Carbon content stuff is a bitct, as is cast iron.

Titanium is ok if you keep the cutting tip sharp and plenty of lubrication to keep the temperature down ;)

That's awesome work on the new part!
Should last a bit longer than the original with any luck :)

with any luck. gotta fix my jack now tho before i can fit them! poobums!

shud have it fixed soon.... cheers
