I changed my headlamp bulbs over fairly recently to Halfords extreme brilliance and their still a poor show.

Any reasons for this? Their is a bit of dirt on the inside of the lens but nothing that could make a substantial difference. Was thinking about changing them over to Osrams or Philips but wanted to check first before blowing money away.

Many thanks in advance.

Extreme Brilliance are really good. Are your headlights aligned correctly? Get them checked - it could make a big difference.

Adjusted the headlights. Miles better.

Thank you.

Have noticed that the n/s light seems to shine quite high to the left even after adjusting? Is that common in some Pumas?

If you park the car against a wall or better still a garage - as it has a smoother surface usually - then you can align them both up much better. Or just bite the bullet and take to a garage and ask to be done, shouldn't be more than a tenner and most likely a fiver in the mechanics hand ;)

Dirt inside the light will effect the spread/direction a lot so a clean might be wise beforehand as it could be the root of your problems ;)
