Hi, Just got my new Puma and I love it!!!

However with the age of the car there were a few issues that needed attention.

My rear brake adjusters have been welded shut. I presume this was a quick fix so the mechanic could get his money easily.

However, trying to find a replacement has been extremely difficult espcially since i'm in eastern europe and the language barrier is a big problem.

In this case can I ask if MK4 Fiesta rear brake adjusters are the correct size for my Puma?

I have already made the mistake of buying Focus rear brake adjusters, and after that, I thought it would be better to ask first!

Gives a list of years and models:

Thanks for the reply, The ones you posted are the newer verisions that came out on later fiestas. the strange thing is my original puma ones are the old version also. SO thats why I'm cautious about using the newer ones. By logic, I would expect the newers ones to be revised and more developed. I had exactly the same type and size on my MK4 fiesta so I've been looking for scrap MK4 fiesta to pull parts from. The problem is explaining this "rear brak adjuster to an Albanian shop worker is not at all easy. he pulled out a hand brake lever in the shop last time! and when I showed him a photo he didnt know what the hell it was.

Due to this I basically have a source a compaitble car and find the compatible parts myself. and having them posted from England or Germany isn't a good idea. It will never arrive. simply becuase the postal workers cant be bothered to deliver it. it just ends up in the street bins.

Anyways, I got the info I was looking for..

A PAIR OF BRAND NEW O.E. BRAKE SHOES ADJUSTER KITS FOR FORD

TRANSIT CONNECT 2002-2013

FIESTA 1995-2002

PUMA 1997-2001

THEY ARE NOT SIDED (HANDED)

Many Thanks!!!

Since sourcing cheap parts is getting somewhat difficult even in the UK, I'm going to start a "Puma compatabilty" thread. this may help people to source less common parts easliy.

Sorry to bump my own thread, but I thought it would be a good idea to add this information for the benefit of other members. It turns out that the older style rear brakes adjusters of similar years are also compatible. As the Pumas are coming on 20 years now, I think its important to have this information to hand.

IIRC, later Puma have bigger diameter/width drums/shoes, than earlier Puma.
