Hello I've just bought a 2002 thunder in mint condition 99,000 this car hasn't wanted for anything, mot Oct tax sept it cost me £700 and the cherry on the top is the plate is TH51DER  does anyone have any idea what the private plate would be worth.

Many thanks

The only place I could find that would actually buy your plate (rather than nationalnumbers above that just advertise it on your behalf) was http://www.eliteregistrations.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They actually bought the private plate on a car I bought with one already on it. They don't want to buy all of them though.

Remember the "valuation" these places give may be way out as they just want your business / commission on an over inflated guide price.

Doubt the plate is worth any more than the usual £250 ish, unless the plate can spell out something or has single digits it is basically just a plate, in your case an age related plate which obviously the car was registered with.

If you think it suits the car, keep it, be much less hassle than transfer fees, commision payments, re-registration hassle, retention fees etc etc etc. Whole "personal" plate thing is a money making best avoided.
