Hi. Im looking to buy sum nice alloys for my 1.6 puma and the 16" mondeo si alloys have caught my eye.at the moment they have 205/55/16 tyres on them. Would I need to change to a lower profile for them to fit assuming they fit at all.. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe you have them in 2 different offsets, One in ET40 which is the most common and one in ET35, ET35 is the sweetspot for the Puma. You can run the ET40 with 5mm spacers to make them ET35

I'm biased, but they do look good! Make sure you get the ET35 offset, really does make a difference. The ET can really upset a Puma.

Cheers for the help. I went with the zetec s wheels I the end. Im hoping they fit straigt in with no messing about.

That puma does look awesome tho kinda gutted I didn't st least try them on mine jow.

The Fiesta wheels are an ET52.5 so you're going to need some 20mm spacers to get them to fit without rubbing on even light steering.

No, they're MK5 Zetec S alloys (same style as Thunder) so should be ET40-something. It's the MK6 that's ET52.5.

The Puma wheel is actually ET34 6j. Most aftermarkets are ET35 6.5j. no real difference.
Fords other (4 stud) wheels are ET38 - ET45 and will require spacers.

If the wheels are ET38s then simple `washer` type spacers (3mm) will do. About a fiver.
Any more than that and you will need the concentric type (which have a spigot ring on them and actually bolt on) About a ton!!

I`ve tried a few different wheels, and now run on Puma originals (the F1 style) best handling and no farting about...

Speaking from experience the ET40s fit but rub the inner arch on full lock. Also they sit way into the arch and look a bit gash.

I went for 20mm spacers all round to get it sat nice, but will probably up the rear to 40mm.

Is it only rear spacers that are required as i only seem to be able to find rear axle kits? Thanks

Only the rear hubs can be spaced, but some wheel spacers on the front will do the trick

You'll also need some extended studs for this type.

However, it is an absolute pig of a job to fit extended studs to the front hubs as they need fully dismantling on a bearing press. A bolt on spacer would be a heap easier, but more expensive.
