Evening all,

As some of you may be aware, I have two Thunders (Yes I am greedy :p ), and as I've just put a pie in the oven, I'll share my arch repair with you whilst I'm waiting :eek:k:

After a little of encouragement, both arches looked like this after I finished pulling the loose rust off

So I popped down to the the local breakers and picked up both of these wings for the tidy sum of £15 :eek:k:

So out comes the grinder and I get cracking.

Tack it in place and grind down the welds

Slap some filler on and sand

Plenty of Waxoyl on the inside

As I don't have the goodies required for painting, I paid a local bloke to top coat and gloss it.. The end result.. A nice new pair of arches and a much happier Jimbo!

Wow.... when I started reading this... well, you don't want to know what I was thinking... :?

I must say, my thoughts were totally wrong..... those arches look sweeeet!!

I'm not completely useless :p
It was worth the blood, sweat, tears and swearing in the end :eek:k:

Second attempt at this post, have no idea where the first one buggered off to.

Great job on those arches but surely the pie was burnt
