Sorry about stating the obvious... but it hasn't been mentioned :- If my doors are unlocked with the key (or key fob) I just have to press on the lock (it's a depressing button) to open the boot (sorry if you have already tried this ) Opps... just reread the first post - sorry :(

It was an 'unbranded' item - no make or model... but, if memory serves me, it was under £100 from ebay :) If you go this route, make sure it has access to Google Play as many of the items they say are Android are just glorified MP4 players!

I used Loctite, you can pick it up from Ebay or places like Halfords

I don't see mine as it fits snuggly infront of the rear view mirror - nicely complying with the law regarding them!

Just to add, I have a Nextbase 322GW & a rear cam that connects to it too :) Was a bit of a PITA pushing the wiring for the rear view cam through the roof liner but was (eventually!) achieved :)
