Roadside repair parts to carry ?
Thanks for the replies. I won't be neglecting my Puma, always look after my cars, I do have AA breakdown and recovery, but carrying a few essentials bits, go back to the days when I did a bit of rallying many, many years ago. I'm planning a few trips to mid Wales, as I love driving the winding sing...

Puma coolant issue
The key reason that the plastic fails is because people do not flush their coolant out regularly and also not run it with the correct concentration of red antifreeze. Because of this, small particles of corrosion which is abrasive, gradually wear away the wall thickness of the insides of the plasti...

Considering a Puma - do they *all* rust?
You might get lucky and find something that’s spent most of its life tucked away in a garage but unlikely.I bought one a few years ago that only needed a small repair to one arch. Its done about 75 k miles now and needed no other repairs.

Taking things to extreme,if you look underneath a Lotus Elise/Exige there are no obstruction at all ,just 3 aluminium sheets. No jacking points or even exhaust.Just one flat area.

Think first mod would be Fiesta ST front discs/calipers.If you want to reduce lap times then get some driving instruction at the track day.

If you haven’t done trackdays before then I would recommend spending a few £s on driver instruction .Will knock seconds off your lap times, far more than car mods.

What’s up with these car designers. They build cars taller heavier and dynamically inferior. Then try and give them a sporty image. And people appear to fall for all the shite the tell us.
