Ford Puma Bits

Hi, do the 9 spoke centre caps fit the Puma propellor wheels? If so, I'd like to buy them.

Wanted: Mondeo 2.0 throttle body

Hi guys,
Does anyone have a 2.0 Mondeo throttle body (958FWA) lying around that he wants to part with? I'd like to put one on my 1.7 engine, but can't find one here in the Netherlands. So, I'm looking for one that can be shipped this way.
Thanks!
Matti.

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

Hi G-Bob, you're absolutely right, I was thinking about fork- vs eye mount, had forgotten how to describe it though (early onset forgetfulness / too much work too little sleep). I'm out of ideas, good luck!

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

There are two kinds: early Puma's/Fiesta's (untill '99 I think) and the later ones. Depending on the year your Puma is from, you'll probably need an younger/older version. Maybe contact your supplier with this question?

FRP mystery owner

According to the Dutch website for vehicle registration it has been exported to Holland in 2008, it has had only one owner since then.

Door mirror replacements?

Mk4-Mk5 Fiesta mirrors are the same as the Puma's...except for the black triangular part on the outside of the door (obviously the doors are different). Also, the mounting may differ, difficult to explain in English (Dutch would be easier), something about the bolts being too long/short (depending o...

Puma fuel pump

Found it: when looking at the fusebox in the engine bay from above, it's the third relay from the left (k4?), lower (bottom?) row. Will be easier to explain in Dutch...Fuse is F35, on the far right, same fusebox (engine).

Puma fuel pump

Fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank, relay location I dont remember (would have to look it up in repair manual). Pump will only be accessible after having lowered the tank (some work, especially with rusted bolts).

1.7 Valve Spring Platforms / seats x8 urgently required

Rob, in one word...eureka!!! Had to learn a lot of Greek words in high school, won't bore you with the details  . But, more importantly, I found the 8 items you need! Hidden between the valves, springs and the cylinderhead. Liberated one, now very carefully removing the other 7. I'll pm you fo...

1.7 Valve Spring Platforms / seats x8 urgently required

Update: been to my mechanic (third time this week, since his advice is free), gonna try and liberate the seats tonight. I was hoping he would do that for me, but he insists I'll learn more if I try it myself (I hate it when other people are right).

1.7 Valve Spring Platforms / seats x8 urgently required

Hi Rob, I think I understand where I need to look for the platforms. Probably I won't be able to get to them myself (don 't have the tools anyway), so I'll try to bring the cylinderhead to my mechanic tomorrow, I guess he will have them out of the engine fast enough. I'll let you know if that works ...

Puma 1.7 VCT from Portugal

Agreeing with the above, you should have the necessary cablework already. I just put in my MHA engine three weeks ago, had the same problem (in my case a faulty sender, so quickly solved). We're talking about the upper part of the engine loom, which connects to your lower loom at the fender. It goes...

1.7 Valve Spring Platforms / seats x8 urgently required

Hi Rob, I might have these lying around in my shed (have 2 spare engines in parts), two questions though: where exactly do I find them on the engine (educated in healthcare, not in mechanics) and because I live in the Netherlands, there will be some shipping costs.

Picture of left side without fender

Hi, At the moment I'm putting the engine back in, but I seem to have forgotten how the air hose under the left front fender is supposed to sit. Does anyone have a picture of his/hers 1.7 Puma with the fender not attached (thus revealing the air inlet hose of the engine)? The pictures on technical Fo...

HOW TO: Retro fit Focus Steering Remote Control

Thanks for the help, I only had the stalk with two wires (forgot to get the connector). Eventually I found a diagram on a German Focus forum that directed me to pin 11 and 12, eureka! Everything is working fine now :-P .

HOW TO: Retro fit Focus Steering Remote Control

Hi all, I'm trying to connect the Focus stalk to my radio (with the round button), but need to know where the two wires need to go. Does anybody know the exact location on the back of the radio (maybe a good photo, the one in the guide is quite dark)? I have only two plugs, so the center pins are no...
