My Puma track car... Considering selling up as lost interest and to fund my Land rover project. Not 100% decided yet, but cant see me using it much now, no longer motivated by people around me etc as they are all family people now. Really don't know where to think to begin with on this one, there's ...

topmansparkie wrote:The thermostat allows the coolant to flow when it reaches the right temperature, so is not directly linked to the gauge.
if the stat is faulty and stuck open, then it will allow coolant to constantly flow around the rad which would cause the temp gauge to read cold like that

Re: 1.7 project, slow but steady

Emptying the water and oil, then try and start without the plugs in, then fit plugs bet it would have started fine. i tried to kill a 106gti engine once, by revving it to redline and sticking a hose in the ...

Set about trying to sort the inner arches that were slicing into the tyres on hard cornering, luckily it hadnt gone more than a couple of mm into the tyre. here what is was like, you can actually see the black mark where the tyre touched http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/253038...
