Thanks man, the centre console is just a standar focus RS item, I needed it because the cable shift machanism from the mondeo gear stick is a bit too big for the Puma console.

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

Of course I remember you lol! That's not far of my spec mate, my Turbo is a GT3076r, but i hae a custom T28 turbine housing on it, equivalent or a T3 .63 housing. My theory was that the velocity from the smaller housing should spool the turbo up a little quicker, then with an external gate I should ...

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

Ha ha, he isn't spinning it lol, he's pondering what mischief he can cause with it. The servo hasn't made a massive difference, but it has made the brakes feel more instant. When I got out of my focus to drive my puma, I always felt like the brakes weren't working. Now they are equally as good low s...

They arent too hard to fit, but the 10mm bolts are quite awkward to get to!

Re: VSS vehicle speed sensor fault

No, the sensor on a focus is a variable reluctor. The only car with the speedo transducer the same as the puma is the mk5 fiesta and possibly KA. At a guess id also say if there was a mk5 1.6 digi dash escort it should fit. First check the 3 pin plug that connects the transducer to the loom, it may ...

And also to add to the above, you will be best to remove your own key transponder as it can interfere with the signal from your mates transponder.

Re: Need some advice!

The engines are identical, the actual block and head are the same, so if you wish to keep the 50k block, just put the FRP cams and inlet on it and its an FRP engine.

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

Yeah she got some excellent pics, it's just a shame we could barely get any speed up, but it was fun all the same. And yes Wild E, it was fun, but a little like driving in traffic, there's only so fast you can go before being held up. I can't wait to get back out on track properly and push the car a...

Re: vct/vvt when turbo'd

That would be great if you could alter it for your own particular set up. There are units already available for this but are quite expensive. The hard part is data logging it, if it's just RPM based then it would be easy, but if it's load dependant, you would have to log a few things, at the very le...

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

I now have 800 miles on my engine so I'll be cranking the revs up to 5000 now won't be long before I'm at full revs now, and the car is feeling pretty sweet. I've been ironing out all the niggles, a few boost leaks, the sump plug just resonating off the lower strut brace, it wasn't enough to make a ...

Re: My frp and big plans

That Vac line set up is so neat and professional, I'd just have a load of 'T' pieces and siicone hoses connected together !

It's looking really good!
