Thanks Dal :ok: now I know what I've been doing wrong I can post more vids up!! After launch control and since you already have two maps, I guess you are only missing the switch labelled 'stage' and networking everything to it  And perhaps an antilag system... I already have anti-lag mat...

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

What ECU are you thinking of upgrading to? after looking into a few ECU,s, it became apparent that anything that can do more then what mine can is more then I can afford, so I just made a few upgrades to mine! I'm hoping to make it to Santa Pod this year - I haven't been for a long time. Are you pl...

Re: Greetings fellow Puma enthusiasts !

Lol, Rod it's not your actual age that counts, it's the age you feel when your driving you puma!! And judging by the look on your face when you showed me those hill climb videos, I'd put you in the 13-17 year olds bracket

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

Ha ha don't lie, I for one would like to see who's car is quickest in a straight line just for the hell of it. Maybe a 0-150 run to be more accurate, but I think we'd need a half mile strip at least to see that. But I'd like to do it regardless, although I couldn't promise I wouldn't modify mine for...

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

Haha, says you with a Mazda engine ;) You horrible man!! Ok so its a Mazda developed engine thats been adopted by ford! But you will still see ford logos dotted about the engine, so it counts as a Ford engine! 8-) Ah but didn't ford own Mazda at the time? So really its Ford anyway! Thanks Sam...

Re: 2.0 Zetec Turbo - The Yella' Fella'

The quick option would be to use a low pressure spring in your wastegate. Something like 5psi. At a guess on your engine with 5psi from a GT2871r you'd be looking maybe 170-180 bhp which if I recall correctly, was around what you were looking to run in the lower gears. Then let the electronic boost ...

Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

We looked into the RS2000 stuff before as I could find a way to mount the transfer box to my MTX75, but apparently the set up can't take more then about 250 bhp. There is another option for me, the mazda 6 MPS! It bolts straight to my engine. And it can take good power. The Toyota set up sounds good...

Ha ha you should have a bit more finess then just smack it with a hammer lol. But yeah when I've built IB5s I just tap the 5th gear on with a metal hammer, hitting with short sharp blows, squarely on the inner race only, using a thick tube section to finish the last part (so you can get the spring w...

The standard of your work is amazing, I like how you have kept everything looking like it could have come from ford as an extra! Re: FRP Duratec Turbo Project!

Well I only tried it last night, and it was 2 degrees with moisture on the rd so quite slippery, but it was certainly more manageable. In those conditions 1st and second were useless if trying to accelerate quickly, but now at least I can pull away faster in second, 1st is still useless  I real...

Re: Speedo problem

Is it an analogue or digital dash? If it's digi dash, try and get someone with a scangauge or obd2 interface. That will at least tell you where the issue is, if the OBD2 is picking up a signal then the problem is your signal to the speedo. There is a triangular plug that comes off your speedo transd...

I picked my rpm signal up off the back of the speedo, I have a pinout somewhere, I'll post up the correct pin if I can find it.
