Puma won't start and multiple error codes

11 - 12v range on a resting battery is too low. Do the dash needles do a sweep when trying to start the engine? If so, it's 99% sure it's the battery.
Put a new one on, clear the codes (keep a note of them), then see if they come back. A duff battery can give all sorts of electrical "faults".

Evaluate under 'Audrey' for us please!

I spent a lot of time to ensure I did the best job possible. As the Puma is a "hobby" car, I had no time-constraints. Mine was a planned refurbishment, which included: + Removing the cat-back exhaust system (replaced by an S/S Blueflame). The studs/nuts were a real pain, and I ended up cutting/grind...

Evaluate under 'Audrey' for us please!

It a dirty job, but someone's got to do it! Don't wear your best clothes! I put mine up on blocks to get at the underside easier: 5120 I used Surfex HD for the degrease. You'll need a stiff-bristled brush to agitate some of dirt/deposits. http://www.bilthamber.com/car-cleaning-and-degreasing/surfex-...

Locking wheel nut key

Might be worth a call to your local tyre fitter, to see how much they charge to remove one locking wheel nut.

Locking wheel nut key

If you can't find one: https://www.lockingwheelnutkeys.co.uk/ But, it's probably quicker to use a locking nut removal tool, and fit a replacement set. Plenty of 2nd hand ones on Ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-FORD-KA-FIESTA-LOCKING-ALLOY-WHEEL-NUTS-M12-X-1-15-SET-OF-FOUR-/122504717086?hash=...

Hello!

362427 4. Positive cable replacement is easy. I think the battery Ford mug most of us off with is a lower quality (45ah) for some reason?... £££! 60ah has got to be better. Varta is a good make (made in the same place as Bosch batterys) IIRC, the UK 1.7 Puma has always been fitted with a 075 (D21) ...

Puma replacement..harder than you think.

Posted 17 April 2007 - 01:14 PM Alright, girls & guys - will try to add something not too confusing (I hope...). I am an early retired Ford Engineer, one of the numerous 'fathers' of our cats; having been working in the Cologne PVT (Plant Vehicle Team) as technical Purchase Representative for Scorp...

Damp Garage

I have similar problems with my detached garage. Put a thermometer in your garage and you’ll find the temperature is not much higher than outside, if at all. You cannot expect anything else when a garage is unheated. In addition, you appear to have an uninsulated, single skin up/over door, and won’t...

Cant pinpoint leak.

Alloy connector usually corrodes under this hose. Disconnect the hose, clean away the corrosion from the alloy, and refit. It may be better to use a Jubilee Clip when replacing:

Salvage opportunity - what to grab?

Headlights, Rear lights, Fog lights, Parcel Shelf Hangers, if any are better.
If you don't have to swap all the items, Heater Control Panel would be good.

Might be worth taking off the starter and checking it over, as water may have got into it. Possibly, first applying power to it once off.
