New member, track day puma

Welcome to the site! Sounds like you're having fun. A lot of people have got on well with Gaz coilovers over the years, not a personal recommendation though because I've never tried them. You want to make sure all of your bushes and top mounts are in good shape. Some people have then fitted upper an...

Yes, are you finding R13 too big?

I think you need smaller bolts as I posted above.

I believe R13 is M14. I think you need 19mm M12 with 1.5mm thread nut and standard stud length of 47mm. https://www.burtonpower.com/wheel-stud-m12x1-5x47mm-1-85-ws1215std.html https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8x-Wheel-Stud-Fits-Ford-M12x1-5mm-High-Tensile-47mm-Long-BRISCA-F2-SS36/382393969637?hash=item590...

Power Steering pipes rusted through

I can't comment if it's the same number through the years, but presumably was. Could it not be repaired? This is usually the most cost effective way in the first instance, else you could look for pn 1127273 for example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ford-Steering-Tubes-Pipes-Hoses-1127273-/27286...

You need to get over 15mph for the ABS self test to complete. Potentially when you drive and this happens the lights will go out.

Looking to buy - acceptable levels of rust?

I think the oil will still be ok, it gets worse the more it's used so a quick change and it should be no bother.

Looking to buy - acceptable levels of rust?

The recommended interval is 5 years or 80,000 miles which ever occurs first. I'd say since it's pushing nearly 10 years it's something you probably want to add to the list.

Do you mean the horrible clip holding the fuel filter?

According to our guide people have been replacing that with a jubilee clip

Puma conversion mk1 focus

8-) I've never done an engine conversion, so mainly here to wish you the best with the project and to say that Focus engines have been fitted in to Pumas so I imagine it would work the other way around. I suppose the reason it's not a common choice this way around is because you can already get good...

Looking to buy - acceptable levels of rust?

Hi Alex, Welcome to the site and good luck with your search. The rust question is case by case unfortunately (in my opinion) so it would be hard to just say 'x' much is too much because it depends on where the rust is and how easily it could be repaired. Surface rust is certainly the better place to...

Yes. There are thread with information from people that have done the same. I swapped the early calipers for later ones. The brake servo discussion has come up a few times as well.

I can't help answer where people usually buy parts but I only see one place online specifically saying they sell that part and it's an international eBay seller.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1008056-Ford-Gasket-1008056-New-Genuine-OEM-Part/392392951167?hash=item5b5c71457f:g:2~YAAOSw699dXmXP Clearly...

This thread might answer you query

Basically it's a lot of effort to split them and you might be better just trying to clean them out first with deionised water or something.
