Nice one... should be a cheap fix, no? Assuming you're going for 2nd hand parts

I'd guess fan relays are one unit. I'd also bet they are in engine bay fuse box. A.C. should operate fan by default even if engine is cold, to draw air through condenser. It sounds like the stall isn't being caused by the A.C. - I would guess air leak. Also the overheat: could be dodgy temp sensor i...

I'd like to see some pics if possible. Ideally of rear bumper but everywhere would be useful.
If you don't know how to post pics on here, please send to grogee@hotmail.com - many thanks.

New Model Ford Puma coming December 2019
I'm not a fan of SUVs in general but this new Puma doesn't look too bad to me, like a baby Jag E-Pace. I'm sure it'll do quite well. I too am confused a bit by the plethora of SUVs on offer from Ford - not only is there the Ecosport, Kuga and Edge as mentioned by Red, but you've also got Fiesta 'Act...

Hopefully you've done it, it's quite rewarding repairing faults on your own car. I would of thought you could do the door cards yourself too. There's always going to be things you need an expert for but why don't you see what you can do yourself? It might make you feel a bit more positive about the...

My favourite mod is the ironing board. Presumably direct-fit onto rear hatch? just kidding... your mods list looks a lot like mine although I'm keeping factory suspension as I'm not using it on track (and am using it to commute). Did the ST150 brakes myself using the Big Redd seal kit and some high ...

Think you'll need some pics to sell a 1.6 at that price, particularly to prove there's no rust.

Yes I mistakenly sent someone looking under the rear seat to get to the fuel pump/sender assembly... got to drop the tank. Well look on the bright side, if you do drop it you can put in a bit more rustproofing while it's off...

Puma Cup - Gearbox question....
Had this on a Suzuki once, it turned out to be the syncromesh ring worn out which popped the car out of 5th as you were driving along. Bit of an expensive fix on quite a crap car! Alternatively as Red says it could be a linkage problem especially if the engine/gearbox is flexing hard on its mounts, ...

You will find more joys as time goes on I expect. Mine was a bit scabby underneath so I wire brushed the worst of the rust off and re-treated/painted to stop it getting any worse (hopefully). Lots of little jobs done, lots more to do. I am being fussy and actually most of them are detail/preventativ...

As title says - looking for a passenger side Recaro in dark blue to do a repair to my driver's seat.
Wheels
Hi, got a spare 9 spoke, it has a small scratch but otherwise OK. It has a no-name tyre on it with some usable tread left. I paid £90 for a set of 4 so you can have it for £20 collected from Southam, Warwickshire - about an hour from you I reckon. I can guarantee that the 9-spokes fit over ST150 bra...

No, I didn't even see it so don't know where that went. I've asked Toyosport (vendor) on Ebay for some advice and they've been less than useless so far, they're saying the manifold is not for street use as they don't know how to fit a catalyst to it...

Can't find the Piper exhaust manifold, only an s/s cat back system.
Think I'm going to make my own system with Toyo + flexi pipe + sports cat 2 inch. Then delete middle box and Hoffman rear box.
Not quite sure how I'm going to mount it though. Anyone done this before?

I'm thinking of getting the Toyosport manifold (£150ish). Seems like reasonable value. BUT what are my options for a catalyst? Need to pass MoT. I don't fancy changing the manifold every year! I'm thinking I also need a flexi pipe after the manifold, but will the gas be too cool for cat to work afte...

Had a go at this myself. I didn't realise but the standard item is either anodized or painted. I think there's 2 reasons for that, 1) reduce reflections in the cockpit, 2) ensure it doesn't tarnish with hand grease/sweat etc (ugh). Anyway I went into this thinking a quick bit of autosol polish would...

Interesting debate. I'm in the process of fixing up a Y-reg 1.7, the bodywork jobs include both sills, front wing and rear arch. This lot alone will cost me in the region of £1500, way more than the car is worth. That's before the mechanical improvements/repairs are accounted for. I suppose what I'm...
