    C1967 & P1479

Hi @GreenEyedPuma. My fuel light seems to work correctly. I have run the fuel down on multiple occasions and it comes on as expected when the gauge is getting close to the empty mark. In practice, I can only add 32 litres at this point so presumably there is still 8 litres, or 20%, in the tank...

    C1967 & P1479

Hi @CherryVimto . Did you ever get to the bottom of this C1967 code? I have it on my Millennium and although I'm not aware of any symptoms I'd still like to resolve it if possible. Thanks

removing a rusted-in lambda sensor (and other bolts)

I bought a similar tool to the one you recommended, but from Amazon since I wanted it quicker, and that listing was ended anyway. But I found that I couldn't use it since I don't have a 1/2" wrench of any form and I'd assumed it would be 3/8. So, I bought another tool, which was of the...

removing a rusted-in lambda sensor (and other bolts)

So, after buying two different sensor removal tools (a tall one with hex on top, and a 'crowfoot' style as suggested above), and getting the engine hot enough that I had to be careful about burns, all I managed to do was chew up the bolt somewhat. No movement at all. I finally gave up and took...

whoop, whoop, whoop sound when turning...

I've not driven my Millie for a few weeks (due to a problem I was having changing the lambda sensor, in another post) but have driven it just a mile or so to and from the local garage 3 times in 3 days. Now, each time I turn right I get a kind of whooping/whistling noise that sounds almost like...

removing a rusted-in lambda sensor (and other bolts)

I had thought about heating it up but didn't think I have any sort of heater suitable and was too nervous to use anything like a flame. Only as I read your note did I think that I could perhaps just run the engine.... :-)

removing a rusted-in lambda sensor (and other bolts)

It never occurred to me that I'd have to buy a dedicated tool, even though I had envisaged how something almost exactly like this would solve my problem. I should have guessed that would be a manufacturer's approach, rather than making it accessible in the first place :-) Thanks for the tip. I...

removing a rusted-in lambda sensor (and other bolts)

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO REMOVE THE AWKWARDLY SITED LAMBDA SENSOR? I recently ran a Forscan diagnostic and found DTCs that implied both the cam position sensor and the lambda sensors were faulty. Although this might not be the case, I figured it was easiest to just replace them and...

    ULEZ Compliant?

That may well be. But given their statement in the letters, it would certainly seem sensible to me that anybody who hasn't yet applied should try applying to DVSA first. That took minimal effort, since it's the same docs as for ULEZ, and it only took 24 hours. And if what TfL suggests is...

    ULEZ Compliant?

I had the same results before I registered with DVSA, so that is not influenced by TfL. I applied for DVSA update while waiting for TfL to respond to my email back to them, so my DVSA update (to now be OK everywhere) happened first and independently of anything at TfL. I wondered whether...

    ULEZ Compliant?

You're right that it says DVLA: "We should also like to clarify that as the details currently held by the DVLA reflect that your vehicle is not compliant, updating this vehicles compliance record directly with DVLA, so that ULEZ Compliance Registration with us is not required is also an option...

    ULEZ Compliant?

regarding 'missing data', in their original response to me, TfL said they use the DVSA database to determine whether your car is compliant, rather than having one of their own. But the DVSA website that covers all of the other LEZs only states that TfL has its own scheme and disassociates itself...

    ULEZ Compliant?

Maybe it's time to contact the press :) . They love to complain about ULEZ and this would be a new angle for them. And it could open the floodgates for people that TfL have charged but shouldn't have. I only lost £37.50 in charges before I got the exemption (which they won't refund according to...

    ULEZ Compliant?

I originally sent only the CoC as there was no practical purpose for the V5C as far as I could see (though I now assume it's the address they are looking for). I got told to send the V5C. So I did, by return email, and nothing further happened for about two weeks. So I just started the...

Hmmmm....I'll have to heads or tails it

They are also available here, which is UK-based - Ford Puma Door sills I merely found them on google though so not a recommendation.

    Ice, ice baby ;)

It looks to me like your car is normal and your kit is perhaps better than the kit I got as it has a cage which mine didn't. I had to use silicone sealant to hold things in place because the plastic moulded clips did nothing.

Hmmmm....I'll have to heads or tails it

Now that I've seen them, I think I'm going to want them. :) Does anyone have a picture of what they look like installed?

I also encourage you to keep going. Incorrect decisions by bureaucrats should never be allowed to win.

    Workshop manual?

Hi Sjoerd. I would appreciate a copy of the IDS, if you're able to post a link to a download. Thanks

    ULEZ Compliant?

I'm horrified by the TfL behavior described in the last strand of messages about @RICHARD MANSFIELD2 's rejection. In case it helps, there is one more line of reasoning you could pursue, and I would now recommend that anybody who has yet to apply to ULEZ applies to DVSA first: From my original...
