I work in a parts shop and the boss got in a pack of each of the top LED bulbs and took them home to test in his wifes C3. He just swapped the passenger side so he could compare them with the standard bulbs and they all were worse than the standard bulbs. Hes Mercedes has LEDs in the headlights...

From what I remember, the cougar was based on the mondeo the same way as the puma was based on the fiesta :)

i have put Luk focus clutches in both my pumas and both were/are excellent. focus clutch has more friction material than the puma one so they last longer and make the pedal a bit lighter to press.

Just a thought, are you using your air con? The compressor kicks in about every 10 seconds and will pull a little power from the engine and can give the same sort of symptoms you are describing.

Another problem with LED headlight bulbs is they are the same as HID's and will fail an MOT, Not a problem as long as you remember to swap them out for standard halogens before you go for test ;) (reminds me, I need to put my HID's back in lol)

Think yourself lucky your not working on an old merc where the grill was attached to the bonnet, used to scrape the hair off the back of your head if you weren't careful lol

I was told it was any heat shield but I haven't checked the actual wording. On a plus point, just took mine down (sans heat shield) and my MOT tester said seeing as its a metal fuel tank he would let it slide (helps that I know the guy) and it passed with only 2 minor faults, both the rear flexi...

Just been talking to my local MOT testing station about the new MOT rules and learned something that you guys (and girls) may not be aware of. If your car is missing any of the heat shielding under the car it is now a fail. My MOT tester said its the most stupid rule he has ever seen.
