Anyone any experience with the 4 branch decat manifolds? I've heard conflicting opinions in they rob low down power/torque but are better for screaming track driving. Anyone have 1st hand experience and would u fit one to a road car with the odd trcakday in mind? Also don't want the car really loud fo they make them this way .cheers matty
 
I fit a 4 branch with a decat and it was an improvement, only downside is it wouldn't pass an MOT so went with a full stainless frp system with 4 branch manifold and 200 cell sports cat from Chris Allison.
Thanks not too worried about the mot I'll either refit the original or buy the tester a few pints 😉, so did it improve across the rev range? I've heard rumours it ruins thr car low down, also was it mega loud ,thanks matty

Removing and refitting the cat on the 1.7 isn't a quick job, to be honest it's a bit of a bastard.
 
For me the main point of the 4-2-1 was it mated up to the sports cat which comes with the system, so expecting a few ponies from having a better flowing cat
I'll probably decat mine as well although hear conflicting arguments you nedd the back pressure from the cat ?. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has dyno'd theres before and after ......
