As a quick update, the engine seemed to be 'ticking' an awful lot, with rough idle. Put it down to a potential bent valve after much consideration.

Really had better things to do at the time, so left it alone until recently.


Anyway, stripped it all back down again...

And...

So far, nothing was wrong at all.. Annoyed and confused.

Not got the spare money for the gaskets and seals to put it back together yet. Not a terrible thing, as it's best to know that the head gasket is bob on and the head/block can be given a nice old clean while I'm there.
