Hey everyone, I have a big dilemma with the car and that being central locking. By the looks of things I somehow have shorted out central locking causing any 15amp fuse to blow up upon inserting it as I can see the spark from the fuse box. Does anyone know any solution to how to fix a shortage like this? For those wondering how it happened. Couple of weeks ago I went on holiday for 2 weeks, I locked the car and the battery died. When I came back I entered the car through the boot and opened the car from the inside. Also for those wondering why I did that, the key hole from the door handles do not work at all and I tried to lube it up but no change. Anyway, I took the battery out and charged it. Once it put it back in the car with the drivers door only unlocked I opened the car and the alarm went off but I disabled it with the key but luckily because I had my window open I locked the car and it never opened again. I found the fuse, it was blown, tried a new one it blew up again. That's my story with the car and I appreciate your time reading it, any suggestions would be really helpful and I'll be very greatful.

I can't help with the short but the passenger doors will not unlock when the battery is flat because they rely on an electric motor to work the mechanism. The same as when you press the button on the key fob to make the central locking lock.
In that case, as you and I have found out, you have to go through the boot as the lock for that works by cable if you use the actual key in the lock. There is also a boot lock motor if yours will still open by pressing the boot button or using the fob. Mine whirrs but won't undo the bootlid any more!
