Crank pulley bolt lenght not matching

Hello everyone.

I'm replacing the cambelt on my 1.7 and i noticed the new crankshaft pulley bolt provided in the gates kit is shorter than what was in there originally.

Does anyone know if i can use the shorter one?

Buying them separately gives 3 options.

29mm thread ( like the new one i have )

44.5mm and 72mm

The original one had a 37mm thread lenght.

Very confusing and i would really like to make the best decision to not possibly blow up the engine.

Well after some digging i found the answer to my question.

The 29mm bolt is a new revision and can be used safely instead of 36mm ( see image )

I did this very job yesterday...I trimmed the 44mm bolt down to 36 with a saw..file the end then thread file the edges.
