Hello guys i am Lucca, 22 years old from Argentina. My dad was a car enthusiast and had a 2001 1.7 Ford Puma in silver color. I inherited this but while still young my mom sold it and now i managed to get it back. It's not in very good conditions but im starting the journey of reconstructing the car and since i know nothing about mechanics a proper mechanic is doing the job.

However, and here is the problem, only 10 units entered the country and few remain. And of course the are parts missing in the car. Importing them is not an option and that leaves me in a grey area where i am pretty vulnerable to being scammed. So i am trying to learn a bit.

The car exhaust manifold, injectors and injectors ramp are missing. Also the back window which is a smaller problem but stil wondering wtf to do. About the mechanics, are there any experts in this model of car which know maybe other models of different cars i can find here in buenos aires with compatible parts? Is it viable to do this without getting the exact spare part? I understand that once the motor is in the car i could send the whole car somewhere where they would make the exhaust manifold personalized for the car but it would be expensive. Is it possible to do the same with the injector and injectors ramp? Any info or advice would be very helpfull and appreciated.

Here is a photo of the car today. It is in better condition than what it seems and i bough another blue puma to take some spare parts but not the ones i refered to in the first comment. Will add some more later.
Also missing the engine's legs.

Welcome to the site Lucca.

Interesting that 10 units made it there! Do you know where were they imported from?

Maybe you need a vacation to Spain where you can pick up some parts and bring them back in your suitcase.

Hopefully someone will have some better suggestions. I believe people may have used injectors from other cars but I'm not sure enough without having a search about.

Its amazing to think only 10 units were imported & you have 2, of which neither has a rear window. Whats the story with both windows being removed/smashed?

Perhaps having a perspex window made will solvenall your problems?

Good luck either way

Hello guys i havent seen the car these days but i've been told that progress has been accomplished. I already told you about the injectors and now he found this new part. Somewhat expensive but this has been quite smooth so i wont argue. I dont know what car originally owned this part but he spoke surely about adjusting it a bit and the meausures being close. Also told me that as missing legs for the engine he will use ford fiesta kinetic replacements. Going to see the car on monday.

About the smashed mirror. That "perspex" word was usefull. When i was underage i inherited the car and it was sold in a doubtful manner. After that Grego, that was like a son for my father and is like a brother for me bough it back. But because of budget problems and bad picks with mechanichs the car was semi-abandoned for 6 years. In that time it was carried away a few times by municipal street authorities, a few parts stolen and the back window broken. But he always got it back and guard it to the best of his capabilities until this moment where i have the resourses to make it work and buy it from him. He also bought the other puma from which i dont know how the back window was broken. He is a great man.

Do you guys think this part looks like a match?
