I last did a 1.7 head many many moons ago.
Spent about 3 days on getting the port shapes right.
Lots of blending and getting rid of some factory castings but that was about 15 years ago.
I’m now looking at 2 spare heads that I always meant to work on and I’m now on it but, over the last few years has any strategy evolved on Puma heads.
Things like valve options, head skim measurements, cans etc..
Kinda looking for an update and sanity check before I hit it.

Its a funny story to be fair, T152YDV was a Melina blue 1.7 - might have been 154, can’t remember but it was the other half’s and her dad put a tiny splash of diesel in it.
About 100 miles later she refused to start - no compression. It was under warranty so went to the main dealer in Bristol. Blah blah and not their fault so wanted thousands for a new head.
Instead I said forget the warranty, I’ll take the head home for the long weekend and tune the nuts out of it. The ecu was superchipped too but the improvement was significant.
Much more torque, I’d guess a real 8hp and hung onto the power for another 500 rpm - nice…
