Does anyone know how many FRPs still remain complete and in original spec' ,are roadworthy and in regular use, i.e out at shows, used daily etc. I thought there were about 300 left but have been told there are considerably less, would be good to know exact numbers.
Apart from mine (0035) I know of only 2 others that get out and about. Your views please forum

The Ford Racing Puma Owners Club would probably be able to give you the most accurate information.

I have FRP 438, which is just about just about totally original, just over 7000 miles, been sat in my Uncles garage for years . The original tyres and wiper blades were only changed last year when I put her back on the road.
I generally use her once every week in the summer and good weather etc

Hi Debbie, the question of how many FRPs are left is unfortunately impossible to answer.
When the car was offered for sale in the showrooms, customers brought a standard car and these were registered by the DVLA as Ford Puma’s.
The cars were then converted to Ford Racing Pumas by Tickford.
Sadly the vehicle log book only records the car as a Ford Puma making it impossible to search for an FRP.
There are least 3 FRP’s in the East Midlands I know of where the owners are not members of any club or Forum and have never been mentioned on any website.

Definitely less than 300 They only ever made 500 as the other 500 scheduled to be made in Europe never got made. I’ve only seen one in the flesh at a show and that was a barn find being done up so not Road worthy. Only others have been on auction sites going for what they were originally bought for in 2002 Was offered one when I bought a Thunder. Mistake or what😂

.. another FRP seen at a local show. His info sheet suggests there are a total of about 280 FRP's left in the world.:

Although never sold in Europe I think a fair few got exported over the years, was chatting to some guys at the Puma Holland meet and sounds like is 5 in Belgium and at least 2 in Germany. I would say less than 200 on UK roads nowadays.

My old one, assuming it's still stored by the guy that bought it from me, hasn't been on the road for over 11 years.
