Inside the bonnet

I have noticed inside the bonnet on my Puma 1.7, where the vehicle VIN numbers are etc. a plaque which reads "PUMA R". It also has the number 687490J 24-YSQ-02 14:37
I hope you can see this in the photo attached. Photo on the left.
Does anyone know what the "R" stands for please?

I believe it's for right hand Drive.
