Yes I have one on my mk5 fiesta.(same as puma) When I originally fitted mine the sump would actually hit the brace when I accelerated or changed gear.
I messed around with mounts as advised but didn't change anything.
The only way I resolved this was to put a very slight set in the brace where the sump plug was catching the brace.
It's been fine ever since.
But to answer you original question, yes it is very very close!!

Had the same issue with mine, I've fit new mounts and it made no difference. The braces are just poorly made/designed. After hitting something in the road and damaging mine I never replaced it and to be honest didn't notice any difference on handling after removing it.

Didn't get any vibration as such, it would knock as the sump hit the brace.
If you look, the first point of contact on the sump will be where the sump plug is as this sits slightly lower than rest of sump.
I marked this area on the brace then put in a vice and squashed it against a big bolt to put a set in it.
Now it is set around the sump plug area and no longer hits anything.
This was a last resort for me as I had tried everything else that has been mentioned in other threads with no luck.

Nice one thanks ill do that, seems really snug and the gearbox as well tho not thr best design. I've heard it does make a marked handling improvement how did you find it as an upgrade 🤔

Yes it was definitely noticeable after I fitted it, made the steering feel sharper.
The car isnt just used on the road either, It does a few unsympathetic track days now and then so it is worth while.

I found it made the front end much more 'pointy'. Well worth it IMO.

I had clearance issues, and it was still tight after replacing the engine mounts (Did improve a bit). I belted mine with a hammer where it was closest which gave a few more mm clearance. Not had any issues since.
