Greetings from Finland, the land of thousands of lakes. I bought Puma 1.7 -00 in Melina blue. Immediately after the purchase, I put a tdO4hl-15g 7# turbo, MB intercooler and Nissan 2.0t injectors in it. Next to the original ecu is an Ecumaster piggypack. Next, I started wanting a change in appearance and traveled to Reinsalu Rallycross Team's workshop and took with me the wild body kit they have installed on Rallycross cars. I put adjustable upper ends and coilovers in the front end suspension. Mondeo mk3 300mm brakes. This is how it turned out. Now I'm building the next widebody with an Audi Quattro a3 transmission.

Out of interest, how much wider is the car? what have you done with suspension and suspension geometry? Front and rear?

The biggest changes are in the front, Mondeo mk3 spring struts,Mini RB52 coil-over, Mondeo mk2 upper bar, etc
Rear 53mm/ side
At the back, I had to move the axle back 20mm because the rigid axle turned forward very low, in addition, I made a drop piece between the hubs, which lowers it by about 30mm and the support arms stay in line better.
This body kit is about 30mm wider than the s1600.
There is also a problem at the front because the drive shafts catch the frame and the joints are hard in this position5D198CE8-380C-4577-B60F-FBF9A3DEB140.jpeg

I know I PIAS now, but would it be possible to make a head on shot so we can appreciate the width of the car? I am interested in rear end as well...! What a transformation!👏👏👏👏
I need to measure the width more precisely. But two pictures of width.

Have you considering rewelding the front lower balljoint positionlower so that wishbone angle isnt extremely bad for the roll center of the front.
We already spoke briefly on this and why i am using different front hubs on my s1600 kitted car.
I also did something similar to my rear axle. I widened the hub mounts about 80mm and raised the up 60mm so the axle wouldnt hit the chassis.

This is a good idea, I'll have to start planning it.

Looks fantastic 👏

Ideally you want your wishbone parallel to the ground. Puma can be lowered about 30-40mm and roll center is still decent. Beyond this the roll center drops below the ground. Far away from the center of gravity and causes the front to roll more than usual, affecting handling.

A good example to compare is Mk7 fiesta and Mk7 Fiesta ST the front hub lower balljoint is mounted lower on the ST so when lowered roll center is still at an optimal position.
Same can be said about the Steering pivot, its outside optimum position so you probably have some excessive bumpsteer.
But you already know i love this project too :)
