That scrappage scheme was almost criminal, so many perfectly Ok cars destroyed, including many established classics. The main beneficiary I understood at the time was the Korean manufacturers. Let's hope something similar isn't repeated.

Wow, even on the link page which only shows a few, there are so many cars which are indeed classics. I'm not going to download the complete file as it'll be far too depressing.

I downloaded the full sheet and got 925 Pumas scrapped.

I then checked my other car, BMW 528i. Total of 178 scrapped.
