Morning all. Looking for recommendations for brake pads for the ST150 calipers that I'm ordering for Trigger.
Fast road only really. But pads that work from cold also.
What's your everyday experiences with your particular choices that your running.
Thanks all.
Erk.

I've just fit some st150 calipers and they came with a new set of ebc ultimax2 and as much as I'm not a fan of ebc stuff I can't fault them for thrashing around the twisty cumbrian fell roads.IMG_20230413_182013_(1080_x_810_pixel).jpg

How much did you pay for the lot please?
Mtec discs?
And did you buy new carrier bolts? If so don't suppose you have the part number handy please 😁

The rebuilt calipers were £185 and came with the pads.

The discs are genuine ford discs, £85 from ford.

Hoses are from wezmoto and were £70

The new caliper bolts were £12 for 4 from my local ford dealer. Part number 1471746

I am running ATE pads. They are the same as on ST170. Nice bite, no squeal, working all around (i.e. in cold as well). I would say ATE pads are most probably the Ford OEM stuff

Mtec discs… oh man.
Those will be in the bin after 6 months or so.
I tried a pair on a Puma many years ago… it ate them and crapped out the pips in the form of warped discs.
It was on a budget so I get that but since then I won’t buy anything less than Tar-Ox
As for good pads, I’ve just popped out to the car and taken the pic - the Mintex pads in the pic are the puppies to go for.. part number should be visible - if the picture uploads ok..
