Does anyone know where I can get this? Lots on the market, but none the correct one for a 2000 reg Puma. Thanks.

Does your Puma have Aircon? There are different PAS hose setups whether it does or doesn't. The a/c compressor is bottom front of the engine, if fitted and the PAS pump that would otherwise have been fitted there, is then top rear.

Is it the rigid metal bit, stupidity down bottom front of the engine bay, right in the direct firing line of salt spray, to corrode it! That's where mine burst back in late 2016 and I really struggled back then to get an Aircon equipped hose! I ended up getting a second hand one from Ian at Pumabits and was able to drive locally to him (in my other car), to choose the one of three with the least rusty looking rigid metal bit! Ian collected my Puma and fitted it. He also replaced the Aircon compressor, as the metal bit is bolted through to the engine block and that apparently, the bolts often snap inside the compressor when it's removed to replace the hose, as mine did! After a pressure test on it and splicing a replacement bit of loom for the PAS HP sensor (over-revving problem) and a/c magnetic clutch connectors, a regas even got my non working Aircon fixed.

Up until then, I was even thinking of approaching a hydraulic hose specialist company like Pirtek (National, I think) to see if they could fabricate a copy of my existing failed hose. I didn't, after contacting Pumabits, but just a possibility for you, if you can't get a new stock one anymore. Bear in mind that even used ones now will be a minimum of 21 years old, so probably not in good enough condition to be worth the effort and cost of fitting!

God luck with it anyway! 🤞👍

I just noticed my first post, third to last, and had to update, that I meant GOOD luck!
I'm not actually not that religious, really!!! 🤭😂😙😇

Hello again - just remembered some of my research from late 2016 and found this thread from another Forum. It seems to show photos of the 2 different PAS hose setups - Aircon, or non-Aircon!

power steering diagram ?

Just look for the photo in this thread that looks like it's been taken in an abattoir (so spells Alexa!) 🤭😂🐖🐂🐏😙

Note the doubled back very thin (plastic?) line. I seem to recall that was an oil cooling section, that ran underneath the radiator, behind the front bumper.

(I know, I know, it's not likely to have run behind the BACK bumper, but in my defense, it's late Sunday night and I've had a few drinks 🥴).

I have mentioned Ian from Pumabits (involved in this thread) a few times in a few various replies, but I'm NOT him, honest!!!

He was, however, the funeral director for my Rusty Bustard, on the 13/8/21! ⚰️.
I always thought that when the time came, I'd send a letter to Liverpool City Council, to ask if I could send him (Rusty, not Ian) out on a raft on The Mersey, for a Viking Burial, but instead settled for £150 for him, plus I unscrewed his turned Aluminium gear knob, to keep as a shrine!

R.I.P. Rusty Bustard!!! Gone, but not forgotten! 😭.

No, it's not Photoshop, I cut a piece of Post-it out and put it on the photo - you can't beat Analogue and good old paper! 🧐

Another thing......
The link included in post above actually WAS for Project Puma, back in 2011, not another Forum, as I originally thought! 😙

Ahh - good idea. Hope they have the right part for you. Must be a pain trying to find stuff for the Puma now. 👍
Well, despite the correct part (number anyway) being available to put in basket and go to check-out - when I contacted them to get more details, the reply was "Unfortunately this spare part is no longer produced. Thank you for contacting us".

Ahhhhh! I guess I am getting it made after all!

Thank you everyone for your input. It is the high pressure hose.

Well, this is the bad boy that our mechanic painfully removed without breaking. Going to try to get a new one made tomorrow. 🤞 🤞
