yeah, looked good at Blyton. Blyton is the worst circuit in the UK for brakes. As long as you don't go there you will never have a problem at any other circuit.

Car looks awesome, you're doining all the right things...just needs more track time lol

They're the exact same support rods I fitted to my CF splitter and it funny but Iv been on the look out for a pair of lens to gut out, spray black and fit for trackdays for the last couple of weeks, I feel like my minds being purged, lol. All really great changes and looks ace!

My ATE Super blue fluid boiled at Bedford so may well need to upgrade too. After some work shortly Im planning brake ducts and a Fibreglass bonnet - Can't see how enough air enters those small slits though where u've mounted them though

The splitter should encourage any air in the high pressure area above it to flow into any gaps before travelling over the top of the car. This should help, along with the car travelling at high speed to get enough flow to aid cooling.
The trick with the ducts as far as i can see are to get the other side of the ducts as close to the disc / calliper as possible.

In other news, We have just picked up a rear wing for the car. Love them or hate them, its another things to be getting on with!
Bought from a chap on the facebook puma owners group for £60. just needs painting and mounting, we got a quick pic of what it would look like though:

We will be following Nick Maxted's advice on the best way to get it mounted on the car.

Tonight we also got the bumper finalised and back on the car

The rubber washers in the stay bars had about 5mm play in the each way, meaning even with them attached, the splitter could move a good cm up and down.

My dad had come up with a way to take the play out, by precisely measuring and cutting some shrink wrap tubes, and shrinking them around the outside of the washer. This ensured a tight fit, and removed all play in the stay bars altogether!

And finally, just took a couple of pictures of the seats and harness' in and mounted

Been trying to get the last few bits done before our outing in a weeks time at donnington.
We got our brake ducts fitted to the car, and managed to get them real close to the discs for maximum cooling

They turn nicely with the wheels, without catching with a few modifications the underside of the car.

next up we got the wing sprayed up

Then got to work measuring up and drilling the holes in the bootlid. As mentioned before, we got some advice from mr maxted.

we started by masking up the boot, and drawing around the wing

We then used some tracing paper to make a copy of the template. This was used to put against the wing, to mark the drill holes.

We then carefully drilled the holes with a 6mm drill bit

Once tested and fitted, the holes needed boring out a little for it to fit nicely. Spring washers were used to fix the boot down on top of some tec7

The sealant was then smoothed and left to set!

Did the Evo always have such a curved top fin or is this a different version?? Thanks for the brake ducting pics - going to be doing my own next weekend, there's something about zip-ties I just don't trust though.

I believe they are all like that, ours Is a genuine ford one. Maybe someone else could clear that up?

And I did have a similar thought whilst doing the brake ducts... but there's 2 heavy duty ones and they are under no strain. If they're good enough to restrain criminals they're good enough for me! :D

We attended donnington park yesterday, the day was full of some real machinery. Plenty of quick cars, but our puma performed fantastically.
Nice to see the hard work paying off! Brake ducts seemed to work well, brakes nice and cool coming in. Plenty of grip through craner curves, taking it flat each time.
The powerful stuff got away on the straights (as you would expect) but only really on wheatcroft.

Got plenty of videos (more to come), here's one chasing a clio 172/182. I believe he was solo and we had a good 190 kg between driver and passenger :)

looking awesome now, proper racecar. Thanks for the mention on the wing fitting lol, glad it helped out. Donnington looked fun - planning that and Croft next year in addition to our favourite Oulton and Cadwell.
