Getting rid of the 1.6 I bought for spares ....and that warm fuzzy feeling when I decided to keep my Green R reg.

Took buttercup out last night for a wee spin, runs great, pulling like a train, just need to sort the ABS lights

Took a picture just to annoy everybody who does not live in scotland

Have to say I look back on my puma days with fond memories - even the times when I took it up to Scotland! :pose2:

Lovely pic though!

yes its me again, guess I must have a lot of good days

Buttercup is losing her cosy garage after 1st April and will have to live outdoors under a cover but look where she is moving to

What made my day today? Sorry to repeat from my original thread, but finding out Ex-Pressed Steel Panels are aiming to be taking orders for Puma Rear Quarter Panels later this year! I've spent a few horrendous days lookig for a replacement car that, quite simply, does not exist. I like coupes, so Alfa GTVs, MG BGTs, Chrysler Crossfires, et al have all benn searched and checked over online - but seriously there's nothing out there to match to bargain-basement fun of the Puma. Oh, and the thought of stepping from a smile-inducing Puma into a boring Eurobox was just toooooo depressing. So yes - hopefully new panels and a revamped Puma will make my year, let alone my day.

Great day out with the local classic car club, fantastic variety of cars and "buttercup" attracted a fair amount of interest and a lot of comments along the lines of "i know its a Ford but a Ford what?"

Looking not bad amonst great company, that Beetle is standard, insanely clean inside and out and original...apart from Audi disc brakes all round

RX8 taxed & first time out in it this year apart from when I took it for it's MOT in April. Also first visit to the petrol station since the £30 I put in it in May 2017 !!

I really need to get out more, no, I meant to say I AM going to get out more

It's like I moved to a whole new area in the country, shops closed down, new ones built where schools were previously, new road layouts, hell (no pun intended), I even saw a new crematorium being built about a mile from my home :|

Although, everytime I go out I can noticeably see the increase in traffic compared to the last time which didn't make my day at all

Got my V5 back from DVLA after submitting an engine change. They actioned the change with no actual evidence to say the change had been done!

I guess if it weren't for the fact I will now be paying more road tax they probably wouldn't have done it.

Been looking for a cheap runaround for a few months now just to get me out of the damn house. As usual I'm slow to buy

Bid on a few cars at auction yesterday, all widely different from each other as is always the case with me. None reached the reserve price and I got no option to negotiate with the sellers even though I had the last bid on them.

Today I put 23 cars on my watch list to bid on if the price at hammer time grabs me enough to bid on them. The weirdest was a 2014 Toyota Yaris. Basic, boring and nothing to write home about.....but perfect as a cheap runabout.

Although, there was one thing that stood out - as per the photo below!!! ( I left the image small so you have to click on it  )

It had it's first ever mot THIS month. Been sat hidden away for who knows how long. I suspect a sad tale to it's history for some reason but who knows what it's exact story is. Certainly peaked my interest

For the money I expect it to go for I could get a much newer specimen. Have to see how well the other cars before it go, before I decide.
