Hi, I am new here and have recently bought a barn find 1.7. Looks good on top, but Flintstones underneath. It was sold as a project so no complaints there but I looked under the rear seat and was surprised to see some old red plastic filler holding the metal together. I guess it was an MoT repair? Has anyone else seen this? Do Puma's commonly rust under the back seat? I just thought it was weird.

In my opinion that was opened up to get in to the fuel tank.

Never seen it rust like that

Thanks red, I am working on the front of the car to start with, suspension, clutch, cam-belt and swearing at broken bolts.

I can see the fuel filter underneath at the back and I am going to drop the tank out. Do you know if the cable is from the sender unit in the tank?

I bought a shell for the floor. I found someone else had done the same thing for access to the tank. This one was held down with tape.
