hi guys noticed past week or so since fitting new engine in my puma as bottom end went on last one and blew cylinder 1 to pieces anyway after fitting new engine have been driving the car and its useing loads of fuel and is giving out loads of black smoke in high revs and the exhaust is very sooty and for the life of me i can not work out what it is any suggestions thanks guys

Black smoke is caused by excess fuel getting into the cylinder area ,that's why your using a lot of fuel. Quite a few causes for this . running to rich. engine management fault .fuel injector faulty to name a few.

had timing checked via aberdare ford all spot on only fault code showing up is for the lambada sensor on the manifold
