I have a 1999 silver 1.7 Puma, which I have had for ten years. It has less than 80,000 miles on the clock. Very sadly, I think we have to part. It has been a joy to drive. But the power steering pipe has rusted, there is some rust underneath and a little rust on the back wing, driver's side. Do I just have to scrap it, or could it be of use to someone? I hate to think of it just being mashed when bits of it could live on. We are in Folkestone, Kent.

We don't normally encourage opinions on for sale threads, however if the rust is minor then maybe it's worth looking to get the pipe repaired and selling it running?

Unfortunately, the pipe is over £200, then its got to be fitted. Add on the bit of welding and its just not worth it. I've bought a pretty blue Beetle now, but its not got the oomph that I so enjoyed for so long with Winnie the Puma.
