Hi All,

I'm new here and looking to get a my very own Ford Puma.

Are there ways to ensure that a 1.6L will meet Euro 4 emissions standards?
I would love to get one but that is my only criteria.

I'm assuming all other mechanical / body work issues can be repaired if you throw enough money at it?

Appreciate any advice you guys have.

Welcome to the site, good luck with your quest. As you say anything mechanical/body can be repaired with enough determination. Not sure about Euro 4, I've only seen one other person mention this, he was in Spain from memory and had a 1.7, I don't think he's found a resolution.

I've just had a look through and it looks like he was looking for written confirmation that it met Euro III standards.

The thread is here for reference.

Puma 1.6 is stage IV (end of etis quote) emission class. Just checked one VIN in etis. So, that would make it Euro4, I guess
1.7 are either Euro2 (stage '96. - single lambda) or Euro3 (stage 2000 -twin lambda).
