Under the bonnet, remove metal clip and pull out "ridged" part, this will take up slack.
Just remember, if you take out too much slack, when you fully depress the pedal, you'll have the throttle fully open, and be straining both ends of the cable connections. To avoid this, you should have someone hold the throttle pedal to the floor, whilst you remove slack.
