we all know the steering wheel is pretty horrible so heres how to swap it / fit an aftermarket jobbie.....(any tips please feel free to add....)

to remove steering wheel;

see reds guide (far better!) http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?p=230#p230" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

fitting aftermarket wheel;
you need a wheel with horn buttons or a universal kit with buttons on ie sparco one from demon tweeks.
im using a sparco wheel, sparco horn button kit and a momo boss (they have different bolt patterns!!!!!! so make sure you get something compatible!!!!)
the momo boss comes with a resistor to trick the air bag warning light so you dont fail the MoT.
resisitor fits between air bag conections....value looks to be burgundy;grey;gold;gold and theres a 2amp fuse
However if you have no airbag you can just pull the bulb / fuses for airbag out......????????
swap over the indicator canceller bit of plastic from the original steering wheel.....bolt it all back together.

im going the mad route (as usual!) and custom machining a momo / 'ford motorsport' boss from an s1 rst together (basically the steering lock is different and so is the spacing so its not a simple swap....), adding a custom plate with horn and a few other switches, a snap off kit and custom connector inside to hide any wiring....nearly done! taken me 2 months so far and far too much money! looking good tho and def going to be individual (mainly cos nobody else is mad enough to spend this long on it!)
