Unfortunately as I'd tested the Puma early last year I didn't get the addition to the test period that I got with my Westfield so took it for test yesterday and it passed again :) so another few months of no shows...no cafes etc :-(

Hi James
You mis-read it it's 42.5 K very leggy Puma :)
Next time you're passing here any chance of popping in, I need to speak to you about power steering lines.
Barry

Well after a really crappy year I'm just starting to get my s*** together. The first photo is the Leeds cruise last year in the Puma with a couple of Westy mates

Ready for trhis year now, just been for a run out to clean the brakes as they were heavily rusted. As I have discs back and front I had to take the wheels off and clean them otherwise the rust and brake dust would have ruined the wheels.

I finished the Westy in the first lockdown but it needs mapping now as there's not even a base map on it so the engine has never been started even.

And as motorbikes make you happy I bought another off one of my friends, a KTM Freeride 250R which was a non runner but after renewing the crank seals and a few other jobs it's now running but I'm awaiting a new main jet from Fowlers of Bristol before I can take it out again. It's taxed and tested, though.

Hi Red. This one's too small for me as it's a narrowbody (3" shorter and narrower in the cockpit) so will be getting sold as soon as it's IVA tested and registered but I have my blue one still when I can be bothered to get it MOT'd.

Hi Barry, over the last week or so I've read all 46 page's of this post, sad isn't it, but I've learned a lot. totally admire your workmanship and abilities. I'm probably a little bit older than you and was involved in rallying in the late 60's and early 70's, still miss my Escort Sport 1300. Got involved with Kit cars in the last 20 years and have been to Stoneleigh many times. Have you ever been to the Black Country Living Museum event at Dudley with the Westie ?
John

Hi John
I'm 63 next week so no spring chicken myself. No I've never been to that event but I've been to stoneleigh many times and used to go to the Stafford kit show and have also been to the Westfield factory at Kingswinsford. Also I would love another mk1 or 2 Escort especially with the technology and engines available to us now. My son, Andrew is building a Westfield at the moment using a 2.5litre Duratec on 50mm throttle bodies that would be good fun in an Escort.

Hi Barry
Good to see your Puma still looking in excellent condition.

I finally got around to getting my badly cooked paintwork seen to at last and on James (XAF) recomendation I took the Puma to Jessops in Horbury bridge near Wakefield where they carried out a great job at a very reasonable price with fantastic customer service, even watsapping me photos and videos of the car whilst it was being worked on. So a big thanks to Rob and your staff at Jessops.

Just a couple of photos of the paint job;

Surprisingly even though there were no blisters at the surface of the wheel arch Rob from Jessops rang me and told me about this and said do you waqnt it fillering or welding so of course I had it cut out and welded.

And because I was struggling to get the KTM running properley I bought another toy.

A Suzuki DRZ400 SM for winter road use

I fancied doing a bit of green laning so I bought this as well.
I went to the first Ford meet of the year at Squires cafe today. I thought I may have been the only Puma there but there were about 6 including TrubluStu's silver Puma and John Wilby's FRP.
Of course I spoke to them both to catch up on the Puma World.

Is there much green laning available in your area? I like the idea of that but no clue how to find places to go.

Good job representing the Puma crowd at the show!
