Hi,

After dropping my tank today in the vain hope of getting it reconditioned along with a load of other work, when trying to get off the rubber hoses held on with clips which had turned into a brown lump one of the metal pipes sheared off due to being rusty. Guess it's in the bin now!

Does anyone have a fair condition fuel tank in the Northwest going I could buy please?

Cheers,
Ben.

I bought one a couple of months back, it took about 10 days to arrive but it's a decent pattern tank. Note you'll have to be a bit creative when mounting your fuel filter as there's no bracket included.

That's for the tip!

I'll hack off the old one and spot weld it on (before filling with fuel! )

Hi,

I've finally got round to looking at the tank and have a question....

What did you have to do to modify the baffle in the tank as it is offset and prevents my pump from fitting it?
I could just hack the side off it off but it would stop it working at all.
Unless there are more than one type of pump?

cheers,
Ben.

Looking at it again, you can rotate the fuel pump about 30 degrees and cut two notches into the top of the tank to position it ok.

There should be enough slack in the fuel lines to cope with this.
I'll post back whether it works or not.

Cheers,
Ben./
