is this diagram for fanbelt?

ive been meaning to change my fanbelt since i bought it on startup for the first 5 mins untill the car warms up mine sounds a little noisey ive listened and examined with bonnet open and from the diagram above it sounds like the iddler is rattly but always stops after 5 mins this is why ive never been in that much of a rush to change it

does the iddler need changing or will the mechanics just tighten it when the new fanbelt is fitted? the iddler is very expensive approx £50
compared with a £15 fanbelt?

there is no fan belt on a puma its the auxillary belt-the fan is driven by a motor
i dont know about the idler pulley.
its not that hard of a job to change the belt. you need two pairs of hands tho.
