Small update for my Puma!
Fitted a new backbox because the original one was quite rusty and I aslo found the sound was getting a litlle boring. The new one gives a nice deep sound I'm very happy with it! Took an 80mm end, I have a double Remus backbox for the puma too but not looking very nice imo, I wanted something subtle..

Think I will mount a lower and upper strut brace soon. Giving the chassis some more strength couldn't hurt I suppose

Lower strut brace really helps in corners! Althrough you have to be more subtle taking speedbumps :p - Nice exhaust, indeed subtle and fits nice in the bumper recess! Keep up the good work! Also noticed you done the rear light mod. I was also toying with the idea of doing that and going to look into it and how to do it! You gave me another little project!

Thanks Brian. I heared a lot of bad stories/issues about upper strut braces on the Puma but I do might try one. I think Wiechers has a very nice and strong model (steel one piece). I just need to be sure it will pass the master cylinder , I am having a look into it. I already have a lower OMP one but not fitted yet. To be continued... :p

Nice looking Puma

And how the car stands right now:

Puma is allmost ready for MOT! Removed the strut braces, original dampers will be soon on the car. I hope it passes from the first time but I don't see a reason why it wouldn't.

Sadly, I had a crash with our daily Polo past week! Rain combined with freezing temperature made the road more like an ice rink, just couldn't keep it on the road while turning. The rails of the chassis are impressively big and strong for such a small car. They have not moved by an inch! Repaired it in less then 2 days, spare parts are very cheap and even finding the same color parts was not hard. All good now & back on the road, a similar crash with the Puma would be a lot worse

Oh dear hope you we're not hurt. Those old Polos must be tough- it is good to see it being fixed so well, sadly I think most people would just scrap a car of that age due to repairs being 'uneconomic'

I know most people would just scrap, but it very easily designed, the whole front comes off in one piece with no more then 6 bolts (think what a job this would be on a Puma/Fiesta!). It's actually my gf's litlle car so we're happy it's back on the road.
TG player: Lol, I can't deny it is a really solid and reliable car. I prefer driving the Puma though :) Going for its MOT next week.

Well, maybe so, but I've seen less severe than that scrapped. I just think it's admirable that you've put that back together so quick. If there's two things I like, it's self sufficiency and effort.

Obviously, there's other things I like, but you know what I mean. :)
