highly agreed! I've grinded a lot of surface rust away from the beam! looks so much better and removed that silly thing in the middle.

I've just finished changing mine on the Thunder, fitted poly bushes as the car had developed an appetite for the original type only lasting 20,000 miles, since the originals were replaced at 110,000 miles and again at 130,000 miles. Only problem I had was lining up the hole on the drivers side.
I'm confused as to the torque setting, in the original post it says 120nm,but the Haynes Fiesta Mk4 manual states 68nm, can anyone clarify which is correct for the Puma ?
 
If you can wade through the adverts the workshop manual is online. From memory it's 120Nm though and it's a fairly beefy bolt.
 
Thanks George, remembered I'd downloaded the full factory manual, last year, checked and it confirms it to be 120nm.
I don't understand though why the Fiesta mk4 is so different though.
